Presenter Gabby Logan has spoken about grief and her final moments with her dad Terry Yorath.
Former Wales and Leeds legend, Terry Yorath died in January 2026 after a short illness.
In a podcast with Hello Magazine, Logan described losing a parent as "discombobulating" but said the stories and messages sent by fans were "so comforting".
She said: "To have all these stories be told to me and sent to me for just a few weeks, kind of an outpouring was incredible.
"You know, your dad is one thing to you and then to all these other people he was something else.
"I think sport is really amazing in these moments, football was incredible and comforting.
"As a family we took a lot of comfort from that.
"I was so proud of him, and to hear what kind of person he was when you weren't looking, its not about the show, it's what does somebody do quietly that nobody knows about."
In her final conversation with Yorath, 53-year-old Logan recalls talking about his funeral plans and music before reading a heartfelt email from a fan she'd received earlier that day, which made them both cry.
She said: "I was in tears reading it to him and he died that night.
"I'd sat and had that really incredible conversation with him, read him that email. I thought kind of in the aftermath, what a privilege to be able to do that for him.
"To give him that confidence, that you know this is what people are going to say about you.
"I said to him, 'I know I'm going to get more like this', and sure enough they flooded in."
Logan is set to lead the coverage, among others, for the FIFA World Cup 2026 next month.
In an interview with Wales Online, she shared a personal disappointment with her schedule and first game in the studio.
"My first game is a personal disappointment because it was supposed to be, in my mind, Canada-Wales," Logan said.
"And then I thought maybe it would be Canada-Italy.
"So although I'm excited about Canada-Bosnia & Herzegovina, that wasn't the game that I thought I'd be doing when I first got presented with my schedule."
