Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa and Belle and Sebastian singer Stuart Murdoch are to receive honorary doctorates from the University of Glasgow later this year.
Other recipients being given the honour, which will be awarded at a ceremony in June, will include BBC journalist Sarah Smith and her younger sister, the Advocate General for Scotland, Baroness Catherine Smith.
The university said they had been selected for having a "a profound and positive impact within their professions and wider society."
Honorary degrees will also be conferred at the University's summer and winter graduation ceremonies, with recipients including musicians Deacon Blue and Eddi Reader.
The first honorary degrees will be awarded at a special Commemoration Day ceremony on Wednesday 17 June.
It will mark the 575th anniversary of the University's foundation in 1451.
Gatwa, who played the Doctor in the long-running science fiction show for two seasons, will be made a Doctor of the University, as will Sarah Smith, the BBC's North America editor.
Baroness Catherine Smith, who studied history at the University of Glasgow and was appointed Advocate General in 2024, will receive the same honour and Jacqueline McLaren, Glasgow's Lord Provost, will be made a Doctor of the University as well.
Murdoch, who has fronted Glasgow indie-pop band Belle & Sebastian since the 90s, will be made a Doctor of Music.
Professor Guido Tabellini, the chair in political economics at Bocconi University, will become a Doctor of Letters and Dr Stuart Campbell, the emeritus professor of obstetrics and gynaecology at King's College in London will be made a Doctor of Science.
Prof Andy Schofield, the principal and vice chancellor at the university, said Commemoration Day would allow the university to "reflect on our remarkable history".
He added: "Honorary degrees give us the opportunity to recognise individuals whose achievements have had a profound and positive impact within their professions and wider society.
"Their work embodies values that continue to inspire our community.
"I am delighted to welcome our honorary graduates into the University of Glasgow community at such a significant milestone, and to celebrate them alongside our graduating students."
